Worm Goo Experiment/ Corn Starch Experiment

Today during science we made another experiment which was very similar to the corn starch one. Both of them needed water so that they could become a very strange type of sliquid (solid + liquid ). There were two thing which we need to make the plastic worm appear:
Calcium Chloride (worm activator) Sodium Alginate (the worm goo). Once both these things were added in normal, plain water the Goo Worm came out it was very cool touching it. One thing I noticed it both happened in corn starch and Goo Worm experiment was that both were half liquid and half solid. And that when it was not anymore touched or moved it will then become hard. The Goo Worm will then be hard and strong like the fishing rope.
