Scientific Summer

Hello everyone,
I hope that your summer was fantastic! I am back at school and this is my first post of the year… hope you enjoy it!!!
This summer I had a lot of fun! My favorite part was when for the first time I went on a cruise. It was on the Baltic Sea.
Just after the school ended, I went to Milano where I have a bike and did many jumps and races with it; it was so fun. After the cruise, I went to the south of Italy and where I had fun swimming and diving, fishing and riding my scooter. One day I went to a zoo safari; it was really fun, but trust me being in the middle of llamas, cute pumas and enormous gorillas isn’t the thing you want to do your whole life!
During this summer there were two things which I found to be scientific: jumping with my bike and racing with my razor scooter. Both experiences have to do with forces and motion; or more specifically with friction and gravity. ”What do gravity and friction have to do with it?”  Friction during this summer activity was applied when I was racing with my friends on the scooter. When I passed the finish line and needed to stop, I pressed a pedal which rubbed against the back wheel and made the scooter stop; well, that’s friction. (The rubbing of two objects together).
My next example shows how jumping on my bike has to do with the force of gravity. When I pedaled so fast and hard to get myself ready to jump over a step the force of gravity pulled me back down to the ground, which explains why   nobody’s jump can’t last long.
I hope you enjoyed my post and that you learned how scientific anybody’s summer can be.
